I started taking pictures as a teenager, and would often rope my friends into modelling for me (mostly in fields of flowers) while I experimented with the basics.
In 2013 I graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a 1st class honours degree in Photography. I then spent time working in London where I learnt about the photography from the best of the best, and Paris where I lead workshops teaching camera skills.
The best bit was moving back to my cosy cottage in Staffordshire in 2017 and starting Emily Takes Pictures!
Photographing your special moments is what makes me tick. I want to create a real and beautiful record with focus on the fun and natural moments. I think your photos should be as individual as you are!
I have been lucky enough to catch some eyes within the photography industry and recently won a national competition hosted by The Photography Show at the NEC Birmingham! You can read more about the competition here.
I love working in my local area, and I am represented by Best of Lichfield.
